She joined the firm in 1997 and has focused her practice in the areas of corporate and cooperative formation, corporate transactional work and administrative law. She counsels clients in areas relating to corporate structuring, management and governance and she assists clients in drafting, negotiating and managing corporate operational documents and contracts. She has years of experience in preparing legal arguments and arguing matters in administrative proceedings before the United States Department of Agriculture and in litigation in federal courts. Significant Cases Alto Dairy v. Veneman, 336 F.3d 560 (7th Cir. 2003). Kristine represented intervenors in this litigation involving the question of whether certain dairy farmer plaintiffs had standing to challenge an amendment to a federal milk marketing order and successfully obtained a reversal of the District Court opinion. Sheet Metal Local #24 Anderson, Trustee v. Newman, 35 Fed. Appx. 204, 2002 WL 1033739 (6th Cir. 2002) (unreported). Kristine obtained a reversal of a Southern District of Ohio decision on the basis that the lawsuit was not an equitable restitution action under ERISA, but instead a contract case seeking money damages only, thus barring federal court jurisdiction.
